Observations of America, the ugly truth.
Most people do not take care of their health, and many are overweight people.
Fast food is EVERYWHERE.
Convenience is everywhere.
Unhealthiness is everywhere.
The cost of convenience is health.
You feel like you’re getting value with, free refills and portion sizes meant for 2, sometimes 3 people. But really they’re being showered in death.
A small coffee is the size of a large over in Europe and Australia (and the rest of the world to be honest).
Fast food is cheaper than healthy food.
At Wendy’s, you can buy a $1 burger or a $9 salad. What would you go for?
You can’t blame people for being overweight when you live in a system of food like this.
There is a clear distinction in class you can see it.
Beverly Hills is where all the rich people who care about status live.
We went to Urth Cafe for a coffee (which if I’m being honest wasn’t great), and we were surrounded by drama queens complaining about how hard their life is, while dressed to the nines and wearing fancy shoes.
There is underlying oppression in this country. You go to Walmart, and you see a wall entire of missing children, every Walmart has this, which means every neighbourhood has a missing child.
Occasionally you’ll get a system-generated text message “amber alert” because another child or person has gone missing.
How is this happening so frequently?
Where is the order? Where is the control?
Oh wait… FREEDOM!
The price of freedom is chaos. Freedom and order do not mix.
If you want peace, you need a balance between Freedom and Order
True Freedom doesn’t exist.
The US needs to catch up and introduce more order into all the centuries of freedom.
I hate being so honest, maybe my perspective is biased. But I’m just sharing my observations here.
It just burdens me that you see a lot of health and social issues in the country and they seem to have been ignored for a long time.
But, Americans are fun, they are some of the friendliest people I’ve ever met and always down for a nice convo. Everyone we’ve met has been so helpful and genuinely interested in us as “foreigners”.
Y’all have nice accents, especially those from the south :)
Your landscape is incredible, there are so many amazing spots out in nature, truly beautiful.
